This exquisite antique 9-carat gold curb link Albert watch chain is a true Georgian-era treasure, dating back to 1822 during the Regency period. Crafted with solid (not hollow) links, each one is crisply stamped with 9ct gold marks, highlighting the piece’s authenticity and quality.

The chain retains its original fittings, including the dog clips and T-bar, all marked with the maker's initials "DB". The T-bar and one O-ring bear Birmingham Assay Office hallmarks, with the O-ring also displaying the date letter for 1822—adding to its historical significance.

Measuring 17 inches in length and 6.5mm wide, this chain offers remarkable versatility. It includes a removable T-bar extender with chunky oval and round links, adding up to 1.25 inches and extending the total wearable length to 18.25 inches. The multiple O-rings allow you to attach the dog clip at different points, making the length fully adjustable.

The detachable T-bar allows for multiple styling options: wear it as a pendant, use it between the dog clips as an extender, or let it hang to create a bold lariat-style necklace. Its adaptable design makes it a standout piece in any jewellery collection.

Despite its age, the chain remains in excellent condition, with only minor wear to the curb links—entirely in keeping with its age and with no impact on its structural integrity. Two O-rings remain in the centre of the curb link section where the T-bar was previously attached, as shown in the product photo of the chain laid flat. We’ve chosen to leave these in place to preserve the full length of the chain, but if you’d prefer us to remove them prior to shipping, simply leave a note at checkout.

Recently enhanced with several heavy layers of 24-carat gold plating, the chain now features a vibrant yellow gold tone, beautifully complementing its timeless vintage charm.
